Intimacy and music festivals rarely go hand in hand. While dense, synchronized crowds can produce a lasting and life changing buzz, high-volume festivals are risky and often tedious to execute. Simple tasks like using the restroom or getting water can become quite a spectacle at commercially operated music festivals.
Nationwide, hippie kids and bass-heads alike are gearing up to rush to the rural city of Stroud, Oklahoma for the second-coming year of the predominately EDM music festival — Backwoods.
The summer of 2016 in Austin has yielded major successes in regards to local music and art. The rapid rise of the music-tech industry and city-wide support has cast a righteous spell on Austin based musicians. Daily showcases and concerts liberated the city and reminded the community of the excitement that accompanies “keeping Austin weird.” Amongst others, Empire Control Room, Swan Dive, The Mohawk, Barracuda and Scratchouse served as an oasis for discovery and enthrallment for music lovers and consumers. Hungry musicians who began the summer eager for exposure, are exiting the hot season with note-worthy revelation.
Solstice Festival is just a few days away Austin! We’ve created a playlist to help you prepare for two full days of awesome music and fun.
