Sound Control Records release: Night Drive

Austin synth-pop duo Night Drive have been around since 2013, but they’re only just now preparing to release their debut album, and it’s already shaping up to be worth the wait. Night Drive have recently released the album’s lead single, “Rise and Fall,” through Sound Control Records.

The fast-paced and characteristically moody track is Night Drive at their best, making music that never fails to live up to their namesake. Dark synthesizers and vocals reminiscent of the 80’s gives “Rise and Fall” the feel of the tormented spiritual successor to The Human League’s classic “Don’t You Want Me.” But where the latter was made for clubs, “Rise and Fall” is one for lonely nights of contemplation.
