Eastside Kings Festival is a blues festival here in Austin with 30 artists performing at nine different venues all across the city. The event serves to celebrate and recognize several artist who have produced quality music for years.
The Festival has been held every year since its debut in 2013. The Eastside Kings Fundraiser serves to raise money for the Eastside Kings Festival, this year to be held on Sept. 11. The festival, in turn, raises money for the Eastside Kings Foundation, a nonprofit organization that serves to protect, celebrate, and preserve “African American Blues, Jazz and Gospel” in Austin.
The fundraiser event will be held June 25th at the Moontower Saloon. There will be free entry, but the location is a 21+ venue. Moontower Saloon will be hosting a $2 raffle for a chance to win a beautiful Fender Stratocaster signed by Jimmy Vaughn, Austinite Blues legend and older brother of Stevie Ray Vaughn.
